The Bellator quarterfinals are in the books and Daniel unfortunately had to bow out after showing huge heart and determination in his second fight against Emmanuel Sanchez. Daniel was able to win the first round with crisp counter striking, but fell to a couple of huge bodyshots in the second round, where he showed a lot of grit and heart to get back up from the canvas to continue fighting. He was able to secure his opponents back two more times in the fight, but couldn´t take Sanchez down, who was able to ride out a unanimous decision to secure another title shot and place in the semifinals.
Max Coga´s heart was broken in his first outing for KSW on Saturday in Lodz/Poland as he battled Daniel Torres. We felt that Max was in control throughout the fight, landing the better shots and also scoring with a couple of takedowns, but two of the three judges saw it differently as they awarded Torres a split decision win.
